A permanent position has become available in Hawke’s Bay on the beautiful East Coast of the North Island for an early childhood education lecturer.

EIT delivers a field-based early childhood education degree that works in close partnership with early childhood centres and kindergartens to provide student teachers with a balance between theory, self-directed learning and practice.

We are seeking to appoint a well-established and credible early childhood education academic to provide leadership in this innovative and leading-edge early childhood education qualification. Opportunities may also be available to teach in the post graduate space. 

 In addition you will have: 

· A passion for teacher development

· Strong research credentials. 

· A masters or higher qualification and a current full Teaching Council practising certificate 

Outstanding networking skills will be required as you will need to build on the already excellent relationships that have been established with early childhood centres and kindergartens in the region. 

A part-time appointment may be considered for the right person.
