Employment Placement Coordinator
Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
The Employment Placement Coordinator is a part time (0.5FTE) fixed-term position to join our team at the Maraenui Regional Learning Centre. This role is pivotal in coordinating and delivering the Employment Placement Service Agreement with MSD on behalf of EIT. You will work closely with jobseekers, employers, and community stakeholders to create pathways to sustainable employment and/or tertiary education opportunities.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $60,000 and $68,000, dependent on skills and experience.
The Employment Placement Coordinator is based in our Faculty of Commerce and Technology reporting to the Maraenui RLC Coordinator and will be responsible for:
- Delivering tailored employment services in partnership with MSD.
- Supporting participants to identify career aspirations and develop individual pathways.
- Linking participants to sustainable employment or full-time tertiary education.
- Providing ongoing pastoral care and in-work support.
- Meeting service agreement outcomes and performance measures.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant qualification (Degree or equivalent preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Full NZ Driver’s Licence.
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire and work within a team, and network with employers and agencies.
- Understanding of cultural safety principles and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
