Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

EIT is seeking a skilled and experienced International Student Admissions Advisor to join our International team. This role is to deliver quality, timely and effective international student application and administration processes and services. 

Key responsibilities include:

International Student Application Processing and Administration

  • Process applications for mainstream and ESL programmes, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and service standards.
  • Prepare and dispatch accurate offers, fee statements, and international admissions documentation while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of programme entry requirements and international qualifications.

Customer Services

  • Deliver exceptional service to prospective and current international students, addressing queries from Recruitment Agents and walk-in applicants.
  • Support international student orientation programmes and assist with organising student activities.

Code of Practice Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Students) Code of Practice 2021 in application processing and agent      interactions.

Professional Development

  • Develop and follow a professional development plan aligned with annual appraisal outcomes.
  • Attend EIT training opportunities approved by your manager.

General/Administration

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of international application procedures and ensure compliance with EIT’s QMS practices.
  • Promote a safe work environment, adhere to the Privacy Act, and foster positive relationships across campuses.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in word processing, Excel, databases, and other computer programs, with exceptional accuracy and speed in data entry.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and manage cross-cultural interactions effectively.

Special Aptitudes

  • Appreciation of cultural diversity and a commitment to enhancing the tertiary experience for international students.
  • Proactive team player with initiative; ability to speak another language is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in computer and word processing is essential.
