Learning Facilitators play an important role in the trades training environment. You will work alongside students and encourage them with their learning, demonstrate how to use equipment, software, materials and the like and work with teaching staff to ensure that the teaching facility is fully functional, safe and prepared.

Ideally candidates will have an extensive range of mechanical engineering industry experience combined with proven technical and applied expertise in a minimum of one of the following: Welding, Machining or Fabrication.

In addition candidates will also have:

  • A relevant trade qualification in engineering 
  • An ability to demonstrate to students the link between theoretical and practical aspects of engineering
  • A functioning network of contacts within the local industry and community
  • Highly developed oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organisational and planning skills
  • Word processing and computer skills
