Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

We are seeking a part-time (0.52 FTE), permanent, compassionate and motivated Learning Facilitator to join our team in Hawke's Bay. Working alongside teaching staff, you will enhance the student learning experience by providing mentorship, guidance, and practical support to learners, helping them engage in their studies and achieve their goals. This role plays an important part in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student success and wellbeing.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $52,187 and $57,032 per annum (pro-rated to 0.52FTE), dependent on skills and experience.

The Learning Facilitator is based in our School of Health and Sport Science and reports to the Assistant Head of School.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting students to engage confidently in their learning journey.
• Providing mentorship, guidance, and encouragement to learners.
• Assisting students with coursework, projects, and learning activities.
• Working alongside teaching staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Supporting students with diverse learning needs to achieve success.
• Monitoring student engagement and following up where additional support may be required.
• Helping to maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming learning space.
• Assisting with recording student progress and learning outcomes.
• Building positive relationships with students, staff, whānau and community stakeholders.
• Contributing to a collaborative team focused on learner success.

• Confidence using Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team.
