The Eastern Institute of Technology is the pre-eminent tertiary education provider across Hawke’s Bay and East Coast. The School of Computing offers a range of programmes from Certificate through to Masters level to more than 600 students across multiple campuses. 

We are seeking an outstanding leader with a passion for teaching, learning and research who will be able to teach in the following areas:

  • Data Communication
  • Networking
  • Operating Systems
  • Cybersecurity
  • Cloud Technologies

The Lecturer in Infrastructure Computing is a key position with responsibility for:

  • Supporting curriculum development in Infrastructure Computing which aligns to EIT and Te Pūkenga’s strategic direction
  • The delivery of Teaching and Learning in a current learning context and environment which leads to learner success and meets EIT standards and expectations
  • The development and use of contemporary Assessment instruments
  • Monitoring own performance and responding to learner feedback which leads to improved learner outcomes.
  • Supporting learners and their well-being as they work towards success in their studies
  • Actively undertaking Research and its dissemination.

An ability to teach across other areas would be an advantage, including teaching in China, as required.
