Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full time or part time (negotiable) Nursing Lecturer at our EIT | Te Pūkenga business division located in Tairāwhiti, teaching specific subjects for the Undergraduate Nursing and Health Science programmes.

The Nursing Lecturer is based in our EIT | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Head of School, Nursing or Team Lead and will be responsible for:

• Teaching specific subjects in the Undergraduate Nursing/Health Science programmes
• Liaising and coordinating with other teams and lecturers in Tairāwhiti and Hawkes Bay
• Contributing to ongoing development of teaching and learning in the online platform
• Participating in the ongoing curriculum development for the Undergraduate Nursing/Health Science programmes as appropriate

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A wide range and up-to-date nursing practice experiences
• Knowledge of the Nursing Council of New Zealand requirements for the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice
• Sound knowledge and application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi teaching
• An understanding of Kawa Whakaruruhau and current approaches to cultural safety in the delivery of learning
