Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

EIT is seeking a skilled and experienced People and Culture Business Partner to join our People and Culture team. This key role will see you partnering with managers and leaders to provide high-quality service, expert advice, and support the success of our kaimahi and ākonga. You will deliver frameworks, policies, and standards that enhance people practices and contribute to a thriving, culturally responsive workforce.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing senior-level expertise in areas such as employment relations, remuneration, kaimahi experience (recruitment, welcome, retention, and      farewell), performance, HRIS assistance, and reporting.
  • Partnering with leaders to influence and contribute to excellence in people and culture practices across EIT, raising capability through coaching and mentoring.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with leaders, managers, and kaimahi, delivering customer-centric, values-led support.
  • Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, ensuring these are embedded in all aspects of people and culture delivery.
  • Supporting change management processes, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risk.
  • Delivering and implementing frameworks, policies, and standards that align with EIT’s strategic goals.

He kōrero mōu | About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a senior role within people and culture, organisational development, or HR, within a medium-to-large organisation.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing equity-focused approaches and embedding inclusion.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and delivering learning and development frameworks, policies, and standards from design through to implementation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and engage with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to champion change and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in HRIS applications, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, and emerging technologies (AI, UX, etc.).
