Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

We are seeking a part-time dedicated PhD Nursing Lecturer to join our Postgraduate Nursing Programme. This role involves teaching, supervising, and contributing to the development of nursing education while fostering a culturally safe and supportive learning environment. 

The appointing salary for this role will be negotiable, dependent on skills and experience.

The PhD Nursing Lecturer is based in our School of Nursing EIT| Te Pūkenga reporting to the Assistant/Head of school of Nursing and will be responsible for: 

  • Supervise and teach Master's level nursing students.
  • Develop and deliver updated teaching plans and course materials.
  • Facilitate diverse and practical learning experiences, including online and community-based.
  • Engage in research and contribute to the Faculty’s research outputs.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive nursing practice experience and current Registered Nurse status.
  • PhD in Nursing or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Mātauranga Māori and commitment to cultural safety.
  • Highly developed communication, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Experience in curriculum development and tertiary teaching (desired).
