Strategy Delivery Lead
Help shape how EIT delivers its future.
Full-time | 2-year fixed term | EIT (Hawke's Bay)
EIT is entering an important new chapter, with a new strategic direction and an opportunity to strengthen how we turn our priorities into action.
We're looking for an experienced Strategy Delivery Lead to establish the frameworks, processes and ways of working that will support the successful delivery of our strategic plan.
This isn't about inheriting an established project management office or adding layers of process. It's an opportunity to build something practical, fit for purpose and lasting — making a real difference to how we plan, prioritise and track strategic initiatives across EIT.
The opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you'll work across EIT to establish a consistent approach to project and programme management, bringing clarity, visibility and accountability to the delivery of our strategic initiatives.
You'll develop the tools, governance and reporting that help leaders make informed decisions, understand progress and address risks early. You'll connect the dots across projects, identify dependencies and provide the Chief Executive, ELT and Council with a clear picture of how we're tracking.
Just as importantly, you'll bring people with you. You'll work alongside leaders across EIT, providing practical tools, guidance and support to strengthen project planning, oversight and delivery, while embedding consistent ways of working.
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who can see the big picture but isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
You'll bring:
- Proven experience establishing project or programme management frameworks and overseeing complex portfolios of work.
- The confidence and credibility to work alongside senior leaders, influence decisions and have constructive, sometimes challenging, conversations.
- A practical approach to governance, planning and reporting - creating discipline without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Strong business case development, prioritisation, risk management and reporting skills.
- A collaborative, coaching mindset and a genuine interest in building organisational capability.
Experience in tertiary education or the public sector would be valuable, but what matters most is your ability to navigate competing priorities, bring people together and establish practical solutions in an evolving environment.
Why EIT? Why now?
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution at a pivotal time for EIT.
You'll play a key role in shaping how we plan, prioritise and oversee our strategic initiatives, creating practical and sustainable approaches that will make a lasting difference.
Ultimately, the work you do will help EIT deliver on its commitments to our ākonga, kaimahi and communities.
If you're motivated by building something from the ground up, bringing clarity to complexity and helping others succeed, we'd love to hear from you.
Ready to help turn strategy into action? Apply now.
